SIGNATURE FORMAT

  is a formated string

  format: "xxxxx)y"

    x is positional parameter-type charcode

    'b' C++: bool         <- Python: PyBool
    'i' C: int            <- Python: PyInt
    'l' C: long long      <- Python: PyLongLong
    'p' C: void*          <- Python: PyCObject
    's' C: const char*    <- Python: PyString

    y is result-type charcode  

    'v' void
    'i' int               -> PyInt
    'l' long              -> PyLong
    'p' ptr               -> PyCObject encapsulating a void*
    'f' float             -> PyFloat (upcast to double)
    'd' double -> PyFloat

* build on osx/ppc - link error i386 something...  [MacPython 2.4]
